Ardalan , I really like yours, particularly John Cleese's gap-bridging leg. Ernst Schwarz, yours is my favourite, for a variety of word-playing reasons, really nice.
How would the theme "safe and secure" please you for the next project? It's a phrase that's been swimming round my head for some 12 months now, and I think it's referentially powerful.

When I saw the bridges on this blogg an old poem by Fernando Pessoa came to my mind:

INTERPRETATION
I think that bridging the gap between the old and the new world has been a desire of mankind since we exist, it is - in fact - a necessity for societies all over the world. Be it to overcome hunger of our children, our ancestors or ourselves in exploring what nature has to offer us in return for the immense respect we give to it.
Unfortunately we have been very good at exploiting the unknown by means of corruption, destruction and abuse of human and natural resource. Why? I ask. Could we have not known better? Were we inhuman in our human search for expansion in space and time? Might we not have been better off by continuing our daily lives in the sad worlds of old Europe? Should the Spaniards and Portuguese have kept their boats and armies, their scientists and adventurers untouched for the discovery of new territory? Should they have fought each other rather than the people of the Amazon, the Andes and the Atlantic coast of South America? Where were they to go if not somewhere else?
If not, we have to ask ourselves the question: Could we have prevented them from corruption, destruction and abuse when they were trying to bridge the gap between the known and the unknown?
I hereby strongly support Marky's suggestion, lots of ideas come to my mind ... Whatchasay everyone?
